What is CBD?

Cannabidiol – or more commonly known as CBD – is an extract of the cannabis plant. It is one of the compounds called cannabinoids that are derived from this plant. The various species from which this product can be derived are Cannabis Indica, Cannabis Ruderalis and Cannabis Sativa. It is basically found in the found in the stalk, flowers and seeds of hemp and marijuana. It has a molecular formula of C21H30O2. It is perhaps the most easily found, non-psychoactive form of cannabinoid although there is still some confusion as to exactly how legal it is to use CBD oil. CBD oil is known to employ only 40% of the total amount of the compounds derived from the plants.

How is CBD different from marijuana?

CBD in South Carolina has reportedly been legal over the last three years, although this is still a developing field of law. Nevertheless, it must be remembered that CBD oil derived from hemp alone is being considered as legal. So anyone using a CBD in South Carolina and mired in any form of legality is most likely to be precedence himself.

Marijuana, on the other hand, is most certainly not legal in South Carolina, as it contains the infamous THC (delta 9 tetrahydrocannabinol), which is attributed to creating a ‘high’. CBD Oil is derived from the hemp of the cannabis plant, which is reported to have a very trace amount of this compound.

How freely can you use CBD?

Cannabidiol has been associated with its anti-inflammatory and anti-anxiety characteristics, although the true correlation of the effects of the compounds is field that still requires many studies. Nevertheless, there are some entities, which have begun selling CBD products in Myrtle Beach. Meanwhile, in order to create a version of CBD edibles South Carolina has seen entities selling them in the form of capsules. However, given the nascent stature with regard to the legality of this product, customers are advised to exercise caution while purchasing CBD products in Myrtle Beach or even the CBD edibles South Carolina offers.

Some of the sellers mention that the products have passed lab tests and the manufacturing processes are US FDA compliant. However, please note that the author could not verify the same.

Conclusion

Irrespective of how you want to use CBD – whether you buy CBD cream or capsules or the oil, the legality of purchase is suspect, pending further clarifications. Moreover, the scientific work on CBD is also an ongoing project, so it is also wise to be wary of the proposed health benefits.
